The installation process is intentionally simple and requires minimal user interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Downloading the Installer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Download the latest version of the TMD server installer from the official TextureMind website:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Download URL<\/strong><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.texturemind.com\/tmd\/download\/\">https:\/\/www.texturemind.com\/tmd\/download\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installer Naming Convention<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Windows installer follows this naming format:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>TMDServer2026.&lt;minor_version>.&lt;patch_version>-x86_64.msi\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Example (latest version at the time of writing):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>TMDServer2026.1.0-x86_64.msi\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installing the TMD Server<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installation Procedure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to the Windows system using an account with <strong>Administrator privileges<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Double-click the installer file: <code>TMDServer2025.1.0-x86_64.msi<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The installation wizard opens and displays the <strong>Welcome<\/strong> screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review and accept the <strong>End-User License Agreement (EULA)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Install<\/strong> to begin the installation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wait for the installer to complete.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Finish<\/strong> to exit the wizard.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No system reboot is required unless prompted by Windows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installer Behavior and Defaults<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During installation, the TMD server installer automatically performs the following actions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Installs all required server components<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registers and starts the TMD server service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Configures the Windows Firewall to allow inbound traffic on the required port<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Firewall Configuration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The installer automatically opens <strong>TCP port 8191<\/strong> in the Windows Firewall.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The port number is <strong>fixed<\/strong> and cannot be changed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Firewall configuration cannot be disabled during installation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ensure that any external firewalls or network security appliances also allow traffic on port <strong>8191<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Verifying the Installation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After installation completes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open <strong>Services<\/strong> (<code>services.msc<\/code>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify that the <strong>TextureMind Desktop Server<\/strong> service is present and running<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm that port <strong>8191<\/strong> is listening: <code>netstat -an | find \"8191\"<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the service is running and the port is open, the TMD server is ready to accept connections.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This section describes how to install the TextureMind Desktop (TMD) server on a Windows system.
